The new layout would need to retain & engage more traffic on the homepage, improve conversion rates & user navigation and also decrease bounce rates, all whilst optimising the site for mobile.
After analysing the pre-existing format of the homepage we looked at the areas that MoveIQ wanted to promote. Their core principles: To save consumers money by helping them make informed and timely decisions, resulting in savings of time and money. They do this through quality, independent expert advice, easy access to competitive quotations in core areas and the introduction of best-in-class 3rd party solutions.
The new layout presents access to all of this information through links above the fold with clear CTA’s for a streamlined user journey. The Imagery was also re-hauled to enhance the brand & help users to recognise each sub area more easily.
Since the completion of the new homepage there has been an increase in users by 55% with a an additional 45% more sessions at 6% longer durations. In additional, there has been a reduced bounce rate of 1.5% and the site load speed also saw a time decrease of 22%.
